The angriest family that e'er there was

So, you might think that I found this photo by googling "angry family". You'd be wrong. Those are actually my flesh and blood kin right there. On the back you see Grammie and Granddad. In front you have my Aunt Barbara, Uncle Bentley and my Momma (all left to right, of course, this is America).

Now that the introductions have been made, I can only assume that you are wondering "Why are they so angry?" I'm glad you asked, because the story is funny. My Grammie thought (as all good mothers do) that her family needed to be immortalized in a family photo. Not an easy task to accomplish with 3 teenagers. The rest of the family resisted (As all good families do). But, she insisted and insisted and eventually they all gave in. They got dressed up in their finest and gave up an entire Saturday morning to go downtown and take the picture. This is not that picture because, you see, no sooner had they arrived home than the phone rang. It was the photographer calling to say that he . . . forgot to put film in the camera. So, they would just have to come back down to take the picture again.

This, as I'm sure you have already guessed, was take 2. Even my Grammie looks slightly less than thrilled to be there. Only my grandfather has a sign of a smirk. And we can only assume that he's thinking "I told you so".

Now I remember why I hated this game in school.

Misty broke an arm and a leg.
Stephanie broke an arm and a leg.
Zach drowned while trying to ford the Kansas River.
Misty died of exhaustion.
Sarah died of measles.
Stephanie died of cholera.
I died of exhaustion (or was it a broken heart?)

But, if you want to try your luck, have at it: http://tinyurl.com/mnwqm
